Seculars who wished me a Happy Eid,take this..!

Today is Eid ul Fitr, and I  saw a new “culture” among some Hindus, that is they wish each other a Happy eid . Am not sure, they know whether it is not a Hindu festival, or whether they are so much large hearted, to include Islam in Sanathana Dharma. Whatever it be, for their information, I may quote something from K oran, Those who have enough patience and time may  go through Quran 9th chapter, Read it..or else, I may quote some “beautiful” and “peaceful” verses from it.. Read them carefully.

9:5 And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
9:6 And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of Allah . Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know.

9:7 Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the breasts of a believing people

9: 29 Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.

9:30 The Jews say, "Ezra is the son of Allah "; and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of Allah ." That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved [before them]. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded?

9:73 O Prophet, fight against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination.

9:123 O you who have believed, fight those adjacent to you of the disbelievers and let them find in you harshness. And know that Allah is with the righteous.

Now let me wish you a very Happy Eid Ul Fitr ? You will wish me back right ? Ahh! No ?

Noah and Hud : Messengers or Jihadis ?

These are two interesting conversation between the Allah’s messengers and the local pagan(disbelievers of  islam).Read these and just think.. What do these sentences convey…
Noah and Disbelievers
Noah to his people :   “O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous Day.
People said : “Indeed, we see you in clear error.”
Noah : O my people, there is not error in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds.I convey to you the messages of my Lord and advise you; and I know from Allah what you do not know. Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you and that you may fear Allah so you might receive mercy.”

After that what happened ?
The GOD speaks here after to the prophet  …
“But they denied him, so We saved him and those who were with him in the ship. And we drowned those who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a blind people.”

HUD and Disbelievers
Hud : “O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. Then will you not fear Him?”
Disbeliever  :  ”Indeed, we see you in foolishness, and indeed, we think you are of the liars.”
Hud   : O my people, there is not foolishness in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds.I convey to you the messages of my Lord, and I am to you a trustworthy adviser.
Disbelievers :  ”Have you come to us that we should worship Allah alone and leave what our fathers have worshipped? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful.”
[Hud] : “Already have defilement and anger fallen upon you from your Lord. Do you dispute with me concerning [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which Allah has not sent down any authority? Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait.”
Later what happened to DISBELIEVERS ?
God(Allah)  says ….
So We saved him and those with him by mercy from Us. And We eliminated those who denied Our signs, and they were not [at all] believers.

Shakthi Aradhana existed ?

4/117  “They call upon instead of Him none but female [deities], and they [actually] call upon none but a rebellious Satan.”
4/121 The refuge of those will be Hell, and they will not find from it an escape.
These verses implies that the “Shakthi worship” , ie the goddess worship was widely done in midddle east also at those times. But now the practice have shrinked itself to India. And the reason is vivid from the above verses.

Fate of Believers and non Believers

The abuses for disbelievers continues…
3/4 Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah will have a severe pu
nishment, and Allah is exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution.
3/10 Indeed, those who disbelieve – never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all. And it is they who are fuel for the Fire.
3/21 Those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and kill the pro
phets without right and kill those who order justice from among the people – give them tidings of a painful punishment.
3/28 Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers.
3/32 Say, “Obey Allah and the Messenger.” But if they turn away – then indeed, Allah does not like the disbelievers. Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers – never would the [who
le] capacity of the earth in gold be accepted from one of them if he would [seek to] ransom himself with it. For those there will be a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers.
3/116 Indeed, those who disbelieve – never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all, and those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.
3/127 That He might cut down a section of the disbelievers or suppress them so that they turn back disappointed.
Entire chapter categorises people into two and this is fully dedicated to the categorisation. I have skipped many verses deliberately, because they are mere repititions  , and I can find only two things in this chapter:
  1. Beleivers promised rewards
  2. Disbeleivers being abused and threatened of punishments.
Allah mentioned here, appears to me more like a king who protects his followers, and plans traps to destroy and terrorise those who do not follow him. God described here seems to have mortal emotions like Jealousy, hatrdness, anger. So whoever wrote Koran wanted to unite people, under an imaginary king called Allah and hence rule them. But why should someone do like that?  That is all about politics, a great international politics. As far as I have read Quran till now, I see the ideology more political and hardly philosophical.

The Journey started

The Quran is the guiding scripture of about one fifth of the total population on earth. The death of Osama bin Laden inspired me to read the scripture to find out what is so much in the book which brainwashes many to fight for the book and the God it mentions, also on the contarary ,in the middle of all these terrorists who interpret koran in the way they like , there are others who call it a book of peace.  This made me confused as of how the same book can be peaceful and terrifying. It will be wrong to take sides before we actually read it, so I decided to read it chapter by chapter, each stanza. But unfortunately I do not know the language the Quran is originally written, and so  I am reading the translation which is available online in my local language. I will try to write commentries on each chapter. I hope I have the right to criticise the book as any other book, and I will frankly write what me as a non muslim feel when I read this book..

“In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.  [All] praise is [due] to Allah , Lord of the worlds – The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path -The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.”
The quran starts with the name of the God. It calls him merciful, not once but four times in the first chapter. No problem in calling god merciful, but the last sentence confused me?  Why should a Merciful god be angry to the paths some have chosen?  With these confusions in mind I pass to next chapter. .
(The chapter two contains 286 verses. I will copy some verses which matters to me and my research…)
Believers,fake  believers and disbelievers
Second chapter defines the “beleivers” as those who follow the book viz quran. And the  “non beleivers”  and the “fake believers” are another category of people. The  “non beleivers” are defined as those who “defy truth” and “fake beleivers” are “reformers”. I think those who do not accept Quran are called “fake belivers”. These two categories of people as the book say, deserve the wrath of God, the allah.
The definition of “disbelievers” as given in the beginning of this chapter, somewhatsterrifies this stanza. According to hindu philosophy, for example,Bhagavad  Gita says God do not hate anyone, nor does he love anyone. So it is indeed a shock for me  to hear that those who disbelieve in Allah and the koranic way of worship are enemy to God. Is God an attention seeker? or is he so Cruel ?
Some other reference to disbelievers :
2/39 And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs – those will be companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.”
2:113  Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
2:121   And whoever disbelieves in it – it is they who are the losers.
2:126 whoever disbelieves – I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination.”
2:161 Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers – upon them will be the curse of Allah and of the angels and the people, all together.
2/211 And whoever exchanges the favor of Allah [for disbelief] after it has come to him – then indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
2/217 And whoever of you reverts from his religion [to disbelief] and dies while he is a disbeliever – for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide therein eternally.
2/216 Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you.
2/257 those who disbelieve – their allies are Taghut. They take them out of the light into darknesses. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.
2/276    Allah does not like every sinning disbeliever. And do not marry polytheistic women until they believe. And a believing slave woman is better than a polytheist, even though she might please you. And do not marry polytheistic men [to your women] until they believe. And a believing slave is better than a polytheist, even though he might please you.

Some genuine Doubts

“O my people, indeed you have wronged yourselves by your taking of the calf [for worship]. So repent to your Creator and kill yourselves. That is best for [all of] you in the sight of your Creator.””  An interesting information about the culture of the land that existed at the time the islam was originated. This verse says, people used to worship calfs(cows), as Go pooja that exist in India even today. The disappearence of the culture, thehindu culture from middle east has very relation to the origin and growth of Koran. Also the practice of “Cow slaughter” has a great relation with the hatred to that culture. Read these lines-“Moses said to his people, “Indeed, Allah commands you to slaughter a cow.” They said, “Do you take us in ridicule?” He said, “I seek refuge in Allah from being among the ignorant.”

And kill them wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid al- Haram until they fight you there. But if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.” The religion of peace prescribes revenge, it asks the followers to take revenge. And the same sentence can be misinterpreted to the violnce against non followers
